TIM B. WALKER
Tim Walker is a contemporary realist painter whose work is informed by a forty-year career in visual strategy and design. As a principal and Chief Creative Officer of the award-winning agency DOXA/VANTAGE in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Walker has spent decades focused on the mechanics of storytelling, composition, and cultural narrative.
Born in Jonesboro, Walker graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. Though he spent the majority of his career in the design field following undergraduate studies in both fine art and visual communication, Walker’s recent return to painting represents a culmination of these disciplines. His current work explores the intersections of memory and the Southern landscape, bringing his design sensibilities to the expressive, tactile medium of oil on canvas. His paintings serve as a bridge between his formative years in the Northeast Arkansas Delta and his evolving career as a contemporary artist.
Walker’s work has been featured in the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Delta Exhibition and Delta Triennial, and is included in numerous private collections.
